Check out the new redesign, I get a lot of great emails from people so I thought I'd post them on the front page. I may turn it into a full blown discussion board if there's enough interest, so post your comments and I'll approve them to appear on the home page as soon as I can!

Just realized that the comments form had an error. It's fixed now! Sorry about that, the site pretty much runs itself these days. Feel free to send in your comments!

Went on an online shopping spree and bought 4 new CDs, some new, some
classics that I had not yet purchased. Enjoy!

Loaded 2 more CDs to the playlist, Gerardo Nunez' 1992 CD
Flamencos en Nueva York and Jose Merce's
Lio fro 2002. Both are good albums, Gerardo is always amazing and
Jose's album is pretty good. Not as good as
Del Amanecer, but I need to pick up his latest, Confi de Fua. I only
have one song from it, Clandestino, but it's awesome. You might hear it if you
listen long enough...

Finally got the Song History back, something to do with Shoutcast,
plugins, and multiple IP addresses.

Got a new
PocketPC cell phone, now you can listen to flamenco anywhere,
anytime with the free
GSPlayer. Once you've installed GSPlayer, go to File, Open URL, and
type in http://flamencoradio.net. I've
added auto-detection for Winamp and GSPlayer so you don't need the port number,
it will redirect to the stream using the web URL. All you need is an audio
cable connected to the auxiliary input of your car stereo, and you can listen
to the stream just like a regular radio station! Of course headphones work
great too. I don't know what happened to the song list, I'm working on getting
that back...

Went live with the auto-hyperlinking system today, it
works OK but there are a few improvements I'm working on such as album art and
better search results. In case you didn't notice, the current and previous
songs are now links to Amazon, sometimes directly to the CD's product page!
Some of the links will return Amazon's "we were unable to find exact matches
for your search" page, this will get better over time.

I finally got Vicente Amigo's new CD, "Un Momento en el
Sonido". I had to order it from friggin Spain for $25 cause NO ONE has it here.
I called Tower Records, Virgin, Borders, even some smaller specialty record
stores and none of them even could find a new CD from Vicente in their stupid
computers. Luckily flamenco-world.com
had it and they ship pretty quick even from half way around the world. I also
picked up Tomatito's latest (2004) while I was there. I'll be queuing them up
when I'm listening so you'll hear them more often!

Welcome to Tim's Radio, flamencoradio.net, mostly Flamenco with some Fusion
& World music. If you have any requests please let
me know. I am currently taking Flamenco guitar lessons from
Jose Tanaka, if you live in Southern California, go see him in
Long Beach on the weekends or take some lessons from him.
I don't play much "Nouveau Flamenco" here, if you're looking for Ottmar Liebert
clones then go somewhere else. I mean come on, "nouveau" is a
French word! Here you will find real Flamenco artists
like Paco de Lucia, Sabicas, Vicente Amigo, Tomatito, Gerardo Nunez,
Jose Tanaka, and non-Flamenco yet very talented artists like
Al di Meola and Strunz & Farah.
I also like the Gipsy Kings, they may play mostly rumbas but you gotta admit,
they have some really good songs. However I don't know every single artist, if
you know of one I'm missing please let me know and I'll
do my best to add them to the playlist.
